Continua a non amare né i social, né gli chef stellati?
«I social hanno dato la parola agli stolti, trasmettono l’idea che la plebe più bassa abbia sempre ragione, e questo minaccia l’avvenire dell’umanità. Gli chef stellati invece si estingueranno da soli, come i dinosauri».
Perché?
«Perché producono sapori artificiali, che non conosci, non ricordi e a cui non ti affezioni. E poi vogliono farti mangiare quel che decidono loro. Prendi il menu degustazione e ti pare che lo chef ti stia fissando. Ti senti sotto esame: non sei tu che giudichi lui; è lui che giudica te».
Encara no us agraden les xarxes socials ni els cuiners estelats?
«Les xarxes socials han donat la paraula als ximples, transmeten la idea que la gent baixa sempre té raó, i això amenaça el futur de la humanitat. Els cuiners estrellats, en canvi, s’extingiran per si mateixos, com els dinosaures”.
Per què?
«Perquè produeixen sabors artificials, que no coneixes, no recordes i als quals no t’enganxes. I després volen fer-te menjar el que ells decideixen. Agafes el menú degustació i sents que el xef et mira fixament. Et sents sota escrutini: no ets tu qui el jutja; és ell qui et jutja”.
Still don’t like either social or star chefs?
“Social has given the word to fools, it conveys the idea that the lowest plebs are always right, and this threatens the future of humanity. Instead, star chefs will become extinct on their own, like dinosaurs.”
Why?
“Because they produce artificial flavors that you don’t know, don’t remember, and don’t get attached to. And then they want you to eat what they decide. You pick up the tasting menu and you feel like the chef is staring at you. You feel under scrutiny: you are not judging him; he is judging you.”
